Thanksgiving in Costa Rica

It’s the time of the year where you give thanks for what you have. Altough it is not a tradition in our country, some families in Costa Rica celebrate Thanksgiving and enjoy together a special meal. Turkey is available at many restaurants and some Tamarindo restaurants offer Thanksgiving meal deals.

In years past, Pasatiempo had a big celebration but now that has been spread out. This year Doña Lee’s, Carolina’s, La Laguna and the Diria Hotel hosted celebrations.

This year, the shops in Costa Rica decided to have discounts and special offers, so Costa Ricans took advantage of the sales to buy presents for Christmas. Coastal Property Management hopes you had a nice Thanksgiving!

La Laguna borders Tamarindo Beach.

One of the best Tamarindo restaurants, La Laguna Restaurant is reopening this November 2nd with a Costa Rican Fusion Menu, a delicious combination of the ingredients this country is famous for. From seafood to premium steak choices, this menu has great creative options.

La Laguna Resto Bar

laguna400Many of our readers know Alicia Repetto as the person in charge of maintenance for CPM. However, you may not know that Alicia is an entrepreneur by night. She and husband Alejandro own and operate La Laguna Resto Bar, a Tamarindo restaurant.

Located on the main road to Playa Tamarindo downtown, La Laguna is a gorgeous spot that serves fresh seafood every night. With a beach front setting surrounded by nature, La Laguna is perfect for couples, groups, weddings and to have a great dinner with family and friends.

Known as one of the best restaurants in the area with a 5-Star rating on TripAdvisor.com, La Laguna has a great variety of seafood, pasta, steak and great specials, with a fine selection of wine and cocktails to join them.

La Laguna opens 7 days a week and starts serving at 4pm, kitchen closes at 10 pm.

“We are a beach front fine dining restaurant located in Tamarindo, across the street from Hotel Pueblo Dorado, inside of the Hotel La Laguna del Cocodrilo.
Our setting is a breath taking garden with the ocean close enough to hear the waves splashing into the sand.
Our specialty is International Cuisine with a great variety of sea food and specials every week from around the world. We also offer great beef dishes and a vegetarian menu is available upon request.
We have a great tapas and cocktail menu served at the bar from 4 pm till 8 pm.
Our schedule is from Monday through Saturday from 4 pm till 10 p.m.
