Extreme Vale Todo 4 – A Qualified Success

Tamarindo has now become a regular stop on on the tour of a group of fight promoters, pitting Central American champions against fighters traveling through the country. The Beach Club hosted last night’s fights. Unfortunately, the Red Cross, contracted to provide medical assistance, arrived two hours late.

The fights started around 8:30PM with Marcela Soto of San Jose fighting a foreign opponent. She put up a good fight, but eventually the referee ended the fight in favor of her opponent. Bruce from Playa Grande fought a Jiu Jitsu match against a Central American mixed martial arts master. There was also a Muy Thai fight. Unfortunately, the more hyped bouts never happened as rains started to come down around 10PM, ending the outdoor event.

Tamarindo looks forward to the next event!

The Beach Club Restaurant A Good Choice

For those who have not tried, a visit to The Beach Club is worth it. Located in the spot formerly occupied by Mama’s Deli, the outdoor dining is in the sand beneath some shady palm trees. There are comfortable day beds for an afternoon cocktail. Dinner was excellent with the seafood pasta being a good choice. There is a full wine menu as well as full bar.
