The Tamarindo Beach Marathon will be held on the 22nd of September.
The competition starts in Tamarindo downtown and takes the streets towards the outskirts of the Pampa in all its glory. The participants can enjoy cool and pleasant weather because the event takes place during the early hours of the morning. It begins at 5:00 am.
The presence of international competitors from Kenya, Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, USA and some European countries benefit the athletic performance of the national and international participants.
TBM has press coverage from national and international media because the event is certified by AIMS and authorized by IAAF, which makes it a qualifying event for other marathons and races recognized by the International Federation.
For the competition you can choose distances of 21km., 30km. or 42 km.
There are also 2 recreational runs: 5km. and 10 km. The 5km run will be held on the beach.
