Tamarindo GolfTamarindo Golf is found at two word-class courses in the area: Hacienda Pinilla and Reserva Conchal. Both are public courses with full pro-shops about 15 minutes by car from Tamarindo. Here is the info on both options: 
Reserva Conchal Golf Course: The course is a par 71 championship course designed by Robert Trent Jones II. The course blends with nature and includes challenges like lakes and ravines that make accuracy important when reaching the bermuda grass greens. The course has views of the Pacific, tropical dry/rain forests, and exotic wildlife. Rates for resort guests are $150 for 18 holes and $85 for 9 holes or after 2PM from December 1st through May 31st and $125 for 18 and $75 for 9 or after 2PM from June 1st through November 30th. The Reserva Conchal Golf Club also offers rental clubs, junior rental clubs, private and group instruction, and digital video analysis. There are also Three Day Golf Passes available for $350 and Five Day Golf Passes available for $500, both of which are for unlimited daily play. 
Hacienda Pinilla Golf Course: An excellent golf course virtually “in your backyard” completes the exclusive atmosphere for lovers of this sport. This is a true, 6,800-meter masterpiece by Mike Young, who has designed some of the finest golf courses in the southern United States. His characteristic emphasis on detail led him to build a course where each hole was designed to conform to the slopes and contours of the natural landscape of Hacienda Pinilla. The frequent risk/reward situations offer different challenges every time you play and the trees, apart from offering refreshing breaks, also represent natural obstacles.  |
